ABOUT YOUR DIRECTOR
The same direction
he gives OST singers

Dots Music is the recording studio of vocal director Kiwon Kim. For more than 15 years he has directed vocals for K-drama OSTs and K-pop releases — including Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, Hospital Playlist, and Our Beloved Summer.

Most guests aren't professional singers. Kiwon doesn't focus on what's wrong with your voice — he finds where it already sounds best, and builds the session around that.

Good to Know

Do I need to speak Korean?
Not at all. Sessions are guided in English from booking through recording.
I'm not a good singer — is that a problem?
No. Most guests aren't professional singers. Kiwon works with where your voice already sounds best, rather than focusing on what's "wrong."You don't have to sing the whole song in one take either — we record it in sections and piece together the best parts.
Can I pick any song?
Yes — any previously released song, in any language. It's a cover, not an original composition.
What should I bring or wear?
Two things help: avoid clothing that rustles (the condenser mic picks up fabric noise), and try to memorize the lyrics if you can — it's easier to perform when you're not reading.
What do I leave with?
A mixed track, delivered the same day by email. Add the One-Take Music Video option and you'll also get an edited video in the style of The Small Room.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can once your Seoul dates are set — same-day booking is difficult since sessions are one-on-one. Message us on Naver Talk Talk to check open times.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available at the building.
Is this a real recording studio?
Yes — Dots Music is a working professional studio in Gangnam, Seoul, with real album credits on the wall. It's the same room and equipment used for K-drama OST and K-pop vocal work, not a tourist set piece.
